Minty Melony Juice

22 Dec

This is a perfect thirst quencher which flushes out the toxins from our body. We normally just eat as it is and there won’t be enough left to even think of anything new. But this is something thought out of the moment. Here I have added mint. We can also add ginger, lime and so on.

Raspberry Cooler

13 Nov

This time I mix my favorite raspberry with the ever so trustworthy lemon to create a fruity refreshing cooler. For me the lovely color itself was mood uplifter. This beverage is so pretty in a clear sparkling glass!

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 pint raspberries
  • 1 lemon, sliced 1/4 inch thick (optional)
  • 1 vanilla bean (split, seeds scraped, pod reserved) or 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 cups seltzer

METHOD

  • Combine raspberries, sliced lemon (if using), vanilla bean, and sugar in a double boiler or heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water. Cook, stirring, until raspberries have released most of their juices, about 12 minutes.

  • Strain through a fine sieve, pressing gently with the back of a spoon; discard solids. Let cool. Pour 1/4 cup syrup into each of 3 ice-filled glasses. Top each with 1 cup seltzer.
